Coach Registration
On behalf of the NPHA Board and the Hockey Development Committee (HDC), we would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in coaching for the upcoming 2026-27 season. We truly appreciate your commitment to our hockey community and look forward to another exciting and successful season.

Head Coach
Provide overall team goals; prepare practice plans; assign game positions; and lead on the bench during games.
Assistant Coach
Provide overall team goals; prepare practice plans; assign game positions; and lead on the bench during games.
Practice Coach
Assist with implementing practices set up drills/stations as needed; Motivate players and instruct techniques; and Perform responsibilities as assigned by Head Coach during practices. Practice coaches should not sit on the bench during games, unless an assistant coach isn't available.
Each Team Will Have:
- Head Coach
- Up to 3 Assistant Coaches
- Additional Practice Coach (Case by Case Approval)
**Additional Practice Coaches may be approved on a case-by-case basis by the NPHA Board, based on a referral from the HDC. Please refer to the NPHA Handbook for additional information**

Do I have to complete SafeSport again this year?
SafeSport needs to be completed every year prior to participation.
How long does it take to complete a background check?
Background checks can take up to 2 weeks, so plan accordingly!
